Analysis of Buddha statue
佛之形像。广义含菩萨、罗汉、明王、等像。其像虽有雕塑像、画像（绘像）二种，然仅雕塑像称佛像，画像则称图像。
The image of Buddha. Generally speaking, it includes the images of Bodhisattva, Arhat, King of the Ming Dynasty and so on. Although there are two kinds of statues, statues (paintings), only statues are called Buddha statues, and portraits are called images.
印度古代认为雕画佛像乃是冒渎神圣之事，故山琦（梵Sa^nchi^ ）等之古雕刻，仅止于以佛法、菩提树、佛足迹等标记象征佛。其后，随大乘佛教之兴起，佛像之雕刻始盛行，故诸大乘经典中有甚多关于造像因缘及其功德之记载。
Ancient India believed that carving Buddha statues was a blasphemy, so ancient sculptures such as Sanskrit (Van Sa ^ nchi ^) only symbolized Buddha with Buddha Dharma, Bodhi tree, Buddha footprint and so on. Since then, with the rise of Mahayana Buddhism, the sculpture of Buddha statues began to prevail, so there are many records about the origin of statues and their merits in Mahayana classics.
Analysis of Buddha statue
